I just received a 12-slot bag. While the labeling says it is 7X7 inches, mine came up a little short. It measured 6 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. One measurement was even 6 5/8". The only reason why I checked was that my decoys were really tight. They are magnum duck decoys, hand painted Herter's and E. Allens. So I think they are fairly standard. I have a couple of mergansers that hardly fit.

Are the slots supposed to be really 7" or was this number just rounded up? I would like to see a full 7" for easier loading and unloading and less wear on paint. Just some feed back. I hope it doesn't sound like I am just complaining.

p.s.
The goose 6-slot bag have worked great. I even put my nested shells in them too.

A Grant- I wonder if you got an older bag??? I know you just got it, but maybe an earlier model? I have had some pretty healthy decoys in mine, and they fit good.

A Grant,

It sounds like you received last year’s bag. The pockets were a little snug and we made them larger this year. To tell if you have this years bag or not is the anchor pocket in each slot. Does yours have these?

Thanks,

There is a mesh pocket in each bag. The packaging for the bag says 7x7 size and new bigger size guaranteed to fit any duck decoy. So it must be the new style. Is just a production variation? Are there 'bigger' bags out there?
