I just wanted to let all the fine folks at Avery know I am sure having a ball with those Fully Flocked Decoys this year. I have never seen another decoy that looks so damn good even when wet, there is 0000 shine and they look so damn real I can't believe my eyes some days when I have live birds in the spread. Some times when I call the birds guys will get up and say where are they, hehehe. You guys have out done yourself and raised the bar for all to follow and or copy as the case may be.

Also that Khaki on the new blinds was one hell of an idea, good job who ever thought that one up.

One more thing, since most all of our kills have been right in the decoys I have found out a couple of my buds cheat. I had three decoys take loads of BB's at 20 to 30 yards one day and have named one BB king and use him as my lucky decoy right in the kill hole. BB took a load of BB's in the chest at 30 yards with not one BB making it through the plastic to the inside. Now that is one hell of a decoy!!! Now I just have to weed out some ground swatters from my group and I will be alright.

I put up a post on my site thought some of you would enjoy the read. Wild Day In The Field (http://flocknockers.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40111)

Thanks Again!!!

Cliff

Cliff,

You are correct. The Greenhead Gear Fully Flocked Full Bodies are the real deal. When you have to hunt those bluebird days, there is no shine coming from the GHG Fully Flocked Full Bodies. Couple of guys that have hunted with me have said that the GHG Fully Flocked Full Bodies look like stuffers. When I set my decoy spread out, I make sure the Fully Flocked Decoys are on the points and around the landing zone. Attached below is a link to my latest hunt over my GHG Fully Flocked Full Bodies.

Attached below is a picture of one of my GHG Fully Flocked Full Bodies ready for action.

I would encourage everybody that reads this thread to visit Cliff's site (Flocknockers.com). His site is full of valuable information, plus you do not have to put up with the normal crap found on other forums and message boards. Cliff runs a tight ship.

Cliff,

That is an AWSOME story and some great pictures. Just goes to show how life-like and how REAL both the Fully Flocked Decoys and Life Size Decoys are.

Good Luck and Good Hunting

Cliff,
Good to see you over here.... I wonder if that Falcon knows how luck he/she is.... Probably the only banded bird to make it out of your spread ALIVE all season..... I agree, the fully flocked decoys are the real deal.

That is a nice looking Flapper you have as well. Might have to give you a call about one of those.

flocknocker,

These FFD Decoys are awesome. We have been hunting over them in SD all season, and we have been tearing them up. I am currently in Denver hunting over these decoys and the we are getting the same results nothing but success.

Cliff,

Thanks for the great post! I know you are having a ball out there on the west coast. The fully flocked are probably the closest thing you will see to a live bird. The fun has only begun!!

Thanks,

Great story Cliff. We had a similar encounter with a falcon and a spinner one year. By the time that falcon figured out he couldn't kill a mojo, his legs were bleeding from trying to grab those metal wings. He did catch a limit of ducks though. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen.

I finally saw the fully flocked decoys tonight for the first time and agree that they are awesome. Great job Avery!
