Wigeon and old keel ?

I picked up a half dozen wigeon at sportsman's Warehouse, and I opened them up and they have the old keels. Do some decoys still have these or are these 04 models left over? The drakes also have a small patch of paint missing a little above the water line, nothing a bird would notice, but from what I've heard about '04 baldpate paint problems it has me a little worried. But if the are bad they just need to hold up 3 more hunts and they're on their way home.

If the wigeon decoys do not have the 60/40 keel then you probably ran into some left over 03's. As far as the paint goes, we haven't had that many problems with the wigeon at all. If you are experiencing problems I would suggest you call 1-800-333-5119 and ask for Julie. She takes care of defective decoys and returns. She is very friendly and helpful.

thanks alot, I'm probably just gonna return them to the store and order some of the new models with 60 40 keels on them. I'd hate to have to leave them home cause they weigh too much
