I see some of the guys are experiencing some problems with the footbases on the new fullbodies. Where exactly are they cracking and under what circumstances? Do the legs break up of is it the round base that is giving problems. Also, is this happening while trying to get decoys off of frozen ground, or do they crack just sitting in the shed? Can overtightening the nylok nuts cause them to bind and crack? I've got 2 doz.GHGs (both 2003+2004's) and I've had no problems with bases, bodies, or heads. I can't ask for more in a decoy, but I am curious as to where these bases are breaking and under what circumstances.

I have had ONE out of 5 dozen break! we were re-rigging the interior of the trailer and had one more rack of decoys to put in. I lost my footing (lack of ballance after an allnighter in the shop) and dropped the whole rack of FB's. Thats not when the foot base broke, tho...it broke when all 165 lbs of stumbiln' Ray fell on top of it. The legs held up good, but the bottom of the base couldnt handel 165inch pounds of pressure. Good thing I have a pack of motion stakes. :D

jrs08,

I have 8 dozen 2003 and 2004 GHG Full Bodies. I have not had any problems with any of my RealFeet Foot Bases. The pictures posted on Avery Message Board showed the base broke. The legs and feet were fine. I do not know the circumstances that led to there breakage. All GHG Decoys carry a one year warranty from the date of purchase. All you have to do is save your receipts. If you have any concerns with your GHG Decoys, email a photo to the Avery Customer Service Department. The Avery Customer Service Department will address all of your concerns. Thank you for purchasing GHG Decoys.
