Thanks for the heads up. It's great to have a network of weather and migration information that can be passed along. I kinda do the same for my Bud's south of me. Let us know more from time to time.
Thanks again.

Good news. Talked with the boys on the marsh today, and new ducks had begun moving in here in Iowa.

Did you see some Christian? We saw some yesterday that were so high if they set their wings HERE they MIGHT have been able to drop enough altitude and slow down enough to land in YOUR spread...lol

I haven't seen a good flock of mallards yet in the harvested corn I've hunted so far this year!! Bring on the inclement weather.

Best flight day I have seen in four years today. Non-stop flights of mallards and geese all day. It has been awhile since I've seen this. A lot kept on headin south as well. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Travis,
Keep us updated...We just about have enough water pumped for them to get their feet wet if they decide to hit our spot.

Send them down this way. Did not see a duck or a goose today while working on blinds in Arkansas. But, we have very little water here.

That's great news, I've finally got some time off and figured it should be just about right this week. Lows to the 20s in MO this week. About time.

Hunted today and saw very few migrators. They obviously moved ahead of the front bucking a 25mph south wind the whole day Saturday. They staged here and not much further south though as the refuge was LOADED when I watched it tonight, and no new birds from guy's just south in Missouri as of this morning. Sporatic shooting all morning, but nothing special. Temps aren't supposed to reach 40 all this week with snow and sleet in the forecast for Monday night and Tuesday morning. We shall see.

Hunted near the Miss north of St. Louis in MO on Saturday and saw specks, snows, Canadas, and lots of divers headed south. Divers were pretty consistent all day, some very big groups, head straight down the river. Only killed one greenhead . . . all puddlers were local and well educated.

Winter storm warning for all of southern Manitoba issued late last night. Was out early scouting this AM and the blizzard was on! Forcasts of 6" - 1' to fall in the next two days. The previous snowfall from last week melted away with a few warm days. This stuff will stick around guaranteed. We have 2" so far today.
With only 2 weeks left for season, the snow should help hunting the migrators. Many birds to the north still!! Let's hope for a busy 2 weeks.
I was out scouting last night and this morning, and saw some nice flocks of divers, Canadas, and a few nice flocks of mallards. So needless to say this guy is going hunting in the morning.
