I have 54 FB's, and 24 shells. I added about 24 full bodies in varying types this year for 2005. All stored in 6 slot Avery bags, with socks - they are babied all the way.
As the season is going along, we have noticed the 2004 FB bases labelled "B" have been getting tighter and tighter to put on. It has gotten bad enough that they won't even turn while off the deke! This isn't random either, it appears all of them are doing it.
I just inspected them and there is no sign of dirt, excessive wear, or anything. The "A" bases work perfect. This has been happening in any type of temperature, so it is not related to the cold. It does appear that there is some mis-alignment in the flaps that eject outword. The only thing I remembered was one of the guys I hunt with one day had put a couple of them together with the feet backward - go figure!
Is there a solution, suggestion, retrofit?
PS - we are just crushing the honkers right now in N. Illinois, it is a blast.
