Help !!!!!!! I have a 16ft Lund MODEL WC-16 Deep Vee that i would like to put an Avery blind on. Here are the specs. 16FT. 20" transom. 69" beam at one point only. narrows down from there. Most blinds i see say up to 68" or above 71". Do i need the wide model ?14-15 ft or 16-18 ft ? standard width ? Wide model ? Some dealers mention an extra bracket for deep vee, is this correct ? I just bought this boat and the season is 3 weeks away. does shipping really take 3-5 weeks ? Thanks for all your help.

Ed,
Don't panic my friend - there are Quick-Sets on literally thousands of 16' Lund deep-V boats from Florida to Canada.
Please give me the following information:
1. Is your rig tiller drive or console?
2. Exact overall length from transom to bow (I know it's a 16' boat but please give me this measurent anyway.)
3. Beam width across the transom.
4. Distance from the transom to the back of the rear seat (I hope you have an aluminum seat across the back that you sit when you drive.) If not please describe what is there.
5. Distance from top line gunwale to the top of the rear bench seat.
With this information, I can tell you exactly what to order. For certain you will need a 12'-15' Quick-Set and one (1) pair of Mounting Brackets, but let's see if you will need anything else.
I am sure you can have a blind on your boat before legal shooting time on opening day if you act now!
Thanks for your question.

Thanks Tom , Her is what i know. Unfortunately i am at work and cant get all the specs. This is a tiller model. This model does not have a straight bench across the back, it has 2 seats running length wise about 24" long. that hug the side of the boat and butt up against the transom. Im guessing the distance fron top of rear seats to top of gunwale is approx 10-12". I can confirm that tonight. I will add all certain specs tonight.
Thanks again,

Ed,
Does your boat have a fuel cap on the left gunnel of the boat? I know several of the new Lunds have this feature. If so, the blind will still work great for you, but will require an additional step. Nothing to worry about, as the extra step will take all of ten minutes.

Ed,
Bill knows what to do from here. I'm in China so, if possible, work with him and keep me in the loop.
You can mount the rear base plates right down to the side flotation pods with no problem. The only question now is how far do these side pods go toward the bow? I would love to see an overhead photo of this boat. Can you get this shot ad post it? We need to try to avoid using the mounting brackets if possible just to save you the additional expense and time of installation. Let us know something. Thanks.

Hi Bill....sorry no fuel cap. its more of a plain aluminum boat. You can view the boat on Lunds website. its model wc-16 in the adventure series. The pods probably extend about 24-30 " from the transom. My legs hang over the front of the pods and i can still steer using the tiller handle. Im not sure if this helps or not. So, so far i know i need the 12-15 model right? i would love to order this today if i can get all the info correct. Great site by the way.

Here is a pic of a simular model. This pic is of a 14ft, i have the 16 and it does not have a floor like the model shown. it also has and extra bench seat along with a small seat in the bow. Hope this helps.

Ed,
You will need the 12'-15' Quick-Set with one pair of mounting brackets. If you want a RainTop, then you need to order the 12'-15' model of that as well. Just about any mail order catalog can handle your order, and it will be drop shipped from Avery so you might want to start the whole ball rolling by calling Bill or Allen at Avery at 800 333-5119 to make sure they know your time frame for getting the blind. They can help expedite the order, but you need to know who you want to order it through as we do not take direct orders or place them for customers. I am sure you understand that we can't promote any one dealer over the other.
Thanks again and please send us some hunting photos after you get the blind into full operation.

Don't be sorry about no fuel cap. It would just add an extra step, and I hoped to catch it before you had a panic issue installing the blind the night before opening day.
