Speaking of hats...after someone answers Gooseslayers question, could someone tell me what type of Avery hat that Clay was wearing in the WW9 vidoe? It was green w/the avery ducks on it, but it looked like a waxed hat. Do they make them like that in waxed? I've seen the regular green cotton with the ducks, but never seen a waxed green with the ducks. Thanks and sorry to interfere with Gooseslayers question.

Chris, I think it may be one of the canvas caps. I know they have the cotton field staff caps, but with the ducks on the side, that is the canvas ones.
Avery does make a wax cap,it is tan with a darker brown bill.

Can anyone give me recomendations on the Avery hats...I was thinking the Canvas in MAX-4 but i also like the Field Staff and Waxed Cotton Hats.

Guys, I have 7 or 8 Avery and GHG hats, and bar none that canvas shadowgrass is my favorite. The canvas holds its shape a little better than the cotton, and they look sharp! I am getting one with the GHG logo here too.

As Jed said, contact the nearest Avery dealer and they should hook you up, if you have some trouble, let us know. I like the canvas hat, it just fits my head better. Jed, you do look good in the field staff cap.

Scott's rioght those canvas hat's rock. They just fit on the head. Many dealers have them and would be happy to ship ya one so just ask around.

My favorite hat is the Greenhead Gear canvas in olive. It has replaced my camo Avery hat on all my waterfowl hunts. The fit is great and it holds it shape. The blaze upland cap comes in a close second, but it doesn't really blend in for waterfowl hunting.

Call me crazy but I am a fan of the field staff caps. The logo w/ the flying ducks on the canvas is nice though and I have been sporting one this season.

To answer your question about what type of hat Clay was wearing in WW9; it was a Green Canvas hat with ducks on it. This hat is by far his favorite hat! All the hats in my opinoin are awesome, very comfortable!
