I was just wondering what you guys all thought about these blinds. What one is better and why. I own a finisher, and a lot of my friends are starting to buy pro hunters. I have also heard that the netting over your face on the pro hunters flares geese, is this true? Any help would be appreciated.

Zach, when you say pro hunter, are you talking about the powerhunter? If so, I dont see the powerhunter netting flaring geese. The powerhunter has more total concealment then any groundblind on the market.
Also, the lowest profile. If you are hunting a dry field for ducks or geese, this would be my first choice.
I like the finisher also, you get more room in the finisher and with the neo-tub option, the blind can be used in shallow water conditions making it even more effective for wary birds skirting pitblinds are for use in hard to reach places where there is no blind to utilize.
I own both. They each have their purposes. It just really depends on what kind of terrain you hunt.
I hope this helps you some.
If you need any further info, please let me know.

Not much to add to Jed's reply. My go-to blind is the PowerHunter but I have Finishers in my arsenal as well. I use them on a situation by situation basis.

p.s. No problem whatsoever with the netting flaring birds...in fact just the opposite results!

Here is a good way to figure out which blind would suit you best.
How far do you have to walk in actually carrying the blind?
How tall is the vegetation/cover you typically hunt in? (i.e. wheat, or corn, etc..)
If you have to walk in a way carrying your gear go for the Power Hunter. If you can drive in and hunt in corn, milo, tall vegetation my advice is to go for the Finisher.
Either blind is a good one. Never had any ducks or geese flare while I was inside a Power Hunter.

The only time I have had geese flare while using the Powerhunters is when fellow hunters were moving the lids and trying to peek under the lid while the birds were working. The only thing geese want to see moving is actual geese themselves.

Quackhead,
Both the Power Hunter and Finisher layout blinds are proven performers in the field. Both blinds can be easily packed into a muddy field. The Finisher weighs in at about 18 lbs. and the Power Hunter weighs in at about 11 lbs. The 2004 Finisher has the addition of a FlagDen, cup holder, and shell holder. You can easily use flags out of each blind. The Finisher would offer you more protection from the wind and the cold then the Power Hunter, if you are hunting in the extreme cold. When you hunt in the Power Hunter, your arms and shoulders are exposed. The Power Hunter's polymesh FlipTop offers unmatched 360 degree visibility. I have never had birds flare due to the FlipTop on my Power Hunter blind. I hunt out of my Power Hunter 90% of the time because I like the visibility that the FlipTop offers. I hope this helps. For additional information, go to the link below. Thanks for considering Avery and have a great season.

Quackhead,
I have had nothing but success with both blinds. I do prefer the Power Hunter just because of it's lower profile. I just got back from hunting Canada with Team Zink and we used the Power Hunters in the fields everyday. The flip top lids make for easy viewing and they are very easy to shoot from. This mixed with their ease of set up and mobility, I would say that it is the best blind on the market, hands down.
good Hunting!

Quackhead,
Both blinds have their purpose. In my opinion both are totally awesome! The field of view of the PowerHunter is unbeatable, 360 degrees! It all depends on what you’re looking for. I would go to a local dealer and sit in both blinds, that should make your decision easy!
Thanks,

Quackhead,
I have both blinds and this is why. I like to hunt out of the Finisher and I put my non-calling friends in the Power Hunter. Especially friends or kids that have a hard time keeping still. In the Power Hunter they can move and watch the birds through the netting and they won't flare the birds. My main objective of taking these people is to have them enjoy seeing the birds coming in. In reality, they don't hardly move because it doesn't take much effort to see everything by just moving their head a little bit.
Also, I found a new use for these blinds, maybe a new marketing area to tap into? My problem, trying to watch my three kids while trying to watch the Yankees\Redsox game at the same time. Solution, I setup the blinds in the TV room and my two oldest kids played in these blinds for a couple hours. My kids and nephews just love these things. They can be Army tents, Batman's cave, Justice League Headquarters or Ninja Turtle hide outs.
Quackhead, hope any of this helped.

I have tried nearly every laydown blind out there and the PowerHunter is my first pick for total cocealment... No other blind conceals your face better than the PH in my opinion....
If anything the netting hides you better, we no longer even use face masks due to how well the PowerHunter conceals the hunter and can honestly say we get birds in tight nearly every day....
Also love the Finisher, but the PH is my favorite..

John,
I remember the day you fell in love with the Power Hunters on my front lawn. There you were all covered up and imaging incoming geese coming at you. Only when you lifted the cover was I able to see your big grin.
How's it going out west? Are you just about done your gig out there? When are you headed back east to give the big honkers a go? In case you need a little encouragement, there's snow on the pea and lentil fields and you know what that means. Hopefully we can hook up for a morning or two as I've got some full bodies that you should experience in action.

Mike... I knew that very day I found the blind I was looking for, I owe you one...
Our last day is tomorrow (23rd)...
Lots of snow out this way as well, I am looking very forward to hooking up with you and putting some 12 pounders on the ground...
I should be home by mid week and will give you a shout...

Mike and John,
Glad to hear there is snow on the ground up there, I hope there is plenty more to come this winter. Send those ducks on down this way soon.

John, looking forward to hearing from you.
Scott, I'm hoping we can be selfish and hold onto the birds for a few more weeks. Okay, maybe even just for a couple of weeks.

I too use a Powerhunter and a Finisher. Most the time I prefer my powerhunter. In small grain fields, I ALWAYS use a powerhunter because of the lower profile. In cornfields or really rotten weather I prefer the Finisher. Both have a purpose, and both are great blinds.

Heres why I like the power hunter...
as you can see...if I wasnt in the blind...all you would see is the flip top...its soooo low profile...nothing sees it...(tripped over it a few times settin up decous)
heres me in my power hunter with some finishers and migrators around me...
