Pro-Staff Opportunities

The Avery® Pro-Staff is looking for qualified applicants in the following areas.

• Portland, OR
• Salem, OR

When Avery® began it’s Pro-Staff it consisted of approximately twenty-five members; mostly friends of Avery who believed in the products at a time when we only made a few. Today that number is closer to one hundred and seventy-five and while our numbers have grown, our primary mission has changed little: support the sales efforts of our network of authorized dealers.

Now, while the “glamour” of working in the outdoors-industry might entice some to apply, I would encourage them to look past their perceived concept of the job and study the realities that I can share with you. There is no doubt that working in the hunting industry can be and is a lot of fun. But if your sole reason for getting involved with us is so you can hunt more, than I suggest you not apply. There is more to belonging to the Pro-Staff than just hunting and we take our individual and collective responsibilities to our dealers, the company, and to the Pro-Staff team quite seriously.

Being a member of our Pro-Staff means that you will be actively engaged as a member of a team: a team that is dedicated to providing a high level of customer service in a professional and friendly manner. It will involve a lot of hard work, be it working in-store promotions, presenting seminars, unloading containers, etc. The program has undergone some extensive changes since its inception four years ago. Aside from our growth, the scope of our duties has increased as the Pro-Staff looks for new ways to offer help and support: not only to our extensive network of authorized dealers, but our company and our industry as a whole.

Being a part of this special team is hard work and will require a commitment of time and energy that many cannot make. Avery® welcomes anyone who feels they have the time and energy to commit to the Pro-Staff program, but we want to stress up front that ours is a team approach so you must be a team player or you will not fit into the group. If you can meet these simple requirements and feel that you can play a part on the Avery® Pro-Staff, then we welcome your application.

Completed applications (based on the applicant’s residency) will be forwarded onto the respective Territory Managers and their review teams. Upon their decision the Pro-Staff Relations office will contact you with the final status of your application.
