tried some rattling the last 4- days of hunting no luck going back to the old way of just grunting and waiting

Pat ...the other day I rattled to a small buck just to see what he would do ....it was funny he came in hair all up on his back stompping the ground ...I even hit the horns together when that deer was within 40 yds. of me still never ran off more then 60 yds. then he would come back and look around.....it was kinda of neat to mess with his head....

I have had great success rattling the past few years. You can't expect to see a deer everytime you put the horns together. This past thursday friday i rattled in 4 bucks one of which was a nice 8 i was planning on shooting but never got a shot. I wait until i see bucks chasing does then i hit the horns as hard and loud as i can. Just my opinion it has worked for me!
