Default Turkeys in the fall

The place i've been bow hunting has a pretty good flock of turkeys wondering around but the closest they are coming to me is 100 yards. will it be possible to decoy this birds or at them to get them closer?

you could try to set up close to the roost and hope when they hit the ground they head your way. This has worked for me many times. good luck

Decoying and call trukeys in the fall sucks. Your best bet is to pattern them and see where they go. Turkeys can be very predictable. Just find a place to set up between them and their food source. Or like he said find their roost and set up real close to it.

The best way to kill fall turkeys is to bust the flock up, once you've done that set up and start calling. We do this just because we have way to many hens around and like to thin the population so the spring longbeards don't become henned up quite as fast.

Set up near a food sourse, i.e. open fields for bugs in the early fall and beach nuts or acorns in late fall. Calling and decoys may help a little but is not near as effective as in the spring.
