I agree Chris, the G-MEN need to work on playing a little bit of defense before they start thinking of the Super Bowl!! The Saints are impressing me more and more every week, Indy played putridly vs. the 49ers, but a win is a win, and they are still undefeated! Maybe the Cowboys are a team to talk about, they have been clicking as a whole team, and Romo is improving weekly. With his past playoff performances being horrid, maybe he can shake it off and go deep in the playoffs, but it is Dallas and due to the fact that I cant stand Jerry Jones, I dont want that to happen!!!

Wait a second......I definitely drink the Cowboys cool-aid but I'm a reasonable fan...if we are good and have a chance I will say that...if we are bad I will say that....however.....Romo is too inconsistent? His playoff performances being horrid???

Since 2006 (and he started in the middle of the season over Bledsoe) he has the third most wins in the NFL
Since 2006 he has the third most 300 yard games in the NFL
Since 2006 he has the third most TD passes in the NFL
His career passer rating is 95.6...this is VERY good.

Too inconsistent huh??

Playoff performances were not his fault solely and he put the team in position to win both games in the last seconds.... the defense not stopping the opposition late has been the problem. Both games he had us in the lead with less than four minutes left in the game?!?

06' 17-29 189 1 TD ( sure..he dropped a new, wet ball for the game winning chip shot FG- the NFL made rule changes after this game to not let this happen again as they never use new balls for games now and each team is allowed to ruff them up before a game)
07' 18-36 201 1 TD 1 INT (and this was in the end zone as time expired making a play on fourth down)

Great...no...horrid...NO WAY. Troy Aikman used to win playoff games with these stats??!?

He will win a playoff game very soon...and then everybody will give the credit to somebody else.....that is the way it goes being a Cowboy QB.
By the way...it took the great Peyton Manning 4 playoff tries before he won his first?!? They used to question him too saying that he can't win in the playoffs.

Time will tell......I think we are VERY close this season.

Tony Romo has choked when it meant the most. He is a great qb, hands down. He just cant win under pressure, until he proves it to me, then I will always think that. But the past 3 games, he hasnt thrown a pick, and thats led to 3 straight wins. This week is gonna prove a lot when they play the Eagles, and if Donovan plays like weeks previous, the Boys better be ready!!!

Dont forget that in those tries to get to the Super Bowl, Peyton had to get through the Dynasty of the Patriots....... Just throwing it out there!!

If I recall, the NFC wildcard game in 06 season, on a field goal, HE was the one had had a ball goes through his hands and lost his team the game, so he was the one that CHOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In 07', he threw a pick in the end zone to end the year, and last year the Eagles routed them for the third straight year. Romo is 5-8 in the month of December proving he cant win when it matters... Peyton didnt lose the games by himself.....

He maybe high up in the Ranks of QB rating and whatnot, but hes only played for 3 and a half years, and look who hold the #2 spot, Peyton whom has played since 98', so you cant compare the two of them right now.....

ya Romo choked in that 07 playoff game to say the least but he is still a very good and reliable QB, but that isnt everything in a team... I would say the cowgirls have a good chance makin the playoffs but going to the bowl is askin a little to much. If I had to bet money on it I would say vikings and colts in the bowl this year although the saints are lookin good I would put money on them not makin the quarter finals

Go vikings!!

Funny......I said that he dropped the ball on a game winning field goal in 06' and you have to repeat it for what? Choked...no...dropped a new wet ball.. yes...
Throwing an interception in the end zone as time expires is not choking.
Re-read the previous post.

Funny....an excuse for Manning because of the Pats?? He still was 0-4 before he got his first playoff game win. Peyton was not the reason for his losses but Romo is?? Peyton's numbers in his first two playoff losses are eerily close to Romo's with him missing the playoffs in his third season like Romo....?? I don't know but the pattern is there...you have to learn to win in the playoffs..period. All the great ones have....Favre, Manning, Aikman, Young, etc...rare cases that they don't....Brady, Bradshaw, and Montana. Time will tell.

Romo has yet to win a playoff game in two tries...understand...but there are 25 teams in the NFL that would like to have those stats from their QB in the last 2.5 years!!

I'm just saying...it will come and he has not been the ONLY reason for the playoff losses..look at the stats offense and defense...it has been the defense for the losses in most games.... Peyton and Romo.

I never said that they are going to the superbowl...I said that they are CLOSE. How many teams can really say that?!?

I never said that Romo is better than Manning..only following the same path and the stats are there..the wins will come.

Better to have these stats to start a career than say....Russell, Smith, Carr, Couch, George..etc...all #1 picks...Romo was not drafted.

I think the Eagles better be ready for us....McNabb has been up and down all season with two good games, Giants and Redskins.

The better QB play will be huge but to me the better defense will win.

rambo dont forget Joe Flacco in that catagory of not having to learn how to win in the post season. Im the only Minnesota fan i know of in Maryland and i had a smile ear to ear when we beat the Ravens!! But Flacco is one hell of a QB!! Romo is like a little kid. Seriously look at him. If he not having fun then hes not playing well. You can tell by the way he acts on the field and on the sideline if hes going to or having a good day. I believe Dallas was going for a tie in that 06' game, right?? If im right then he was actually feet away from winning the game and not trying it.

Maybe you are right about tying it?!? No..we lost 21-20. Weird deal....I thought..yes we are going to win after that Jones run...then no he fumbled the snap...to yes he is going to score..to no he is tackled...horrible ride of emotions that last two minutes?!?

Flacco is good.....forgot about him.

Hey Rambo, at least our teams didnt draft Ryan Leaf, haha, man that guy couldnt do anything right!!

But for the shape the Boys, Colts, Vikes, are in right now, its better than the woes of the Raiders, Redskins and Tampa, they switch qbs like underwear!!!

Having a good qb, is essential into winning games, is the Cowboys game in Philly???

Oh yeah, Matt Ryan has proven he is NFL worthy as well as Flacco!!

Vikings and Colts???????????????

Do you really watch football, or are you being a purple homer?

The purple people eaters have had the easiest schedual possible. Lets see, Lions, Rams, and Browns.......not to mention the Packers twice (and don't say the Packers are good, 'cause they are not). That's 5 easy wins. They got lucky (at home) against a very inconsistent 49er team and a Raven team that lost their defensive identity this year and can't kick field goals. The one good team they played, beat 'em.

I honestly believe the Saints, Eagles, Cowboys, Cardinals, and possibly the Giants and Falcons are better than the purple. In the AFC you have the Broncos, Colts, Steelers, Patriots all better also.

Dream of a purple Super Bowl all you want, but in the end, you'll be dissappointed..........again.
