They do look fantastic outside on the base in a little breeze. I really think these are going to be the deal. I'm sure Curt Wilson is the person you are referring to. I wish you would have been able to talk to him. Let us know if you have any questions.

Those things are deadly in the wind. I can't wait to set them up on a sandbar along the river. Should be lights out!

I've got a question regarding the "new" bases. What happens to the decoy when the wind picks up say 25 mph or better? Generally I hunt during fronts with quite a bit of wind, the birds in this area seem to be most active then. I'm assuming the new goose decoys would respond the same?

Stubble, you will have NO problem in those type of situations I promise you that. We have had these things out this spring in higher winds than that, and they just wobble back and forth as if they were walking down a field picking grain. I have literally left mine outside this spring and summer and we have had some whopper storms. The high winds have not affected them one bit.

ever think about making just a stake for the fullbodys?? becasue my decoys get left out all season and if i had full bodys i would want them staked into the mud on the rice checks. with a good 40 mph wind i think they would blow right over if not on level ground!

Duckboy1,
The full body Mallards will come with two motion bases per decoy. One will be the ring style that sits on the ground, and the other will be a stake type that gets inserted into the ground. As both styles come with the decoys, you will be able to choose which one to use based on your particular needs.

Hope this helps,
Greg

duckboy1,

Greg is correct in what he posted. You will get 6 MotionBases and 6 MotionSticks in each box. You can choose the best method for the way you hunt.

Thanks,

I was able to see these in person last weekend and they are just awesome. They have very life-like movement in just the slightest breeze.
