slotted bags For Fullbody Geese

I was just wondering how many guys really use them it seems like alot of work to slid them in and out of the slots every time if the heads and foot base attachmemt can not be left on. Can someone give me feedback why you would,nt just carry 3 per arm like alot of us do now.I don,t know how much the bags add up to in price but we use about 10 doz decoys thats 20 6 slot bags i would much rather buy more Dekes, ammo or gas than bags is there really any advantage to them? Thanks for any of the following replies in advance this is not anyway a put down of a product just an inqiuring simple mind.

The decoy heads can be left on in the 6 slot bags. Take a piece of thick decoy string and simply tie the bases to the bottom of the shoulder strap.
The Original 6 slot goose bags retail for around 39.99 and the New 6 slot bags for the Lessers, Snows and Specks retail for around 34.99 These,(the new bags) have huge cargo pockets on the side for motion stakes and other gear you can carry to the field.

I would like to see some sort of velcro strap added to these to secure the motion bases to the bags.

These bags simply make it easier to carry your fullbodies affield, while offering them maximum protection.

Here’s why I wouldn’t use anything but the 6-slot full body bag. First of all I have invested in the fully flocked decoy and plan to use them for many years. As I can attest, you don’t have to take the feet or heads off the decoys in order to place them in the decoy bag!! And, according to Avery, you should not be removing the heads from the body. I do go beyond the 6-slot decoy bag for protecting my decoys and put socks over the flocked heads for added safeguard when transporting in the back of my pick-up truck.

Websdown, when you put three or 4 on each arm you don't have your hands free. With the six slot bags you can throw it over your shoulder and still have your hands free to carry in a blind, bags, guns, etc. You can even throw a bag on each shoulder and carry a dozen without any problem.

When you utilize the Avery 6-Slot Full Body Bags, you leave your full bodies fully assembled. It takes very little extra time to stow your full bodies in the 6-Slot Bags. The extra time is well spent when you consider the protection the bags provide your decoys. I agree, you can put 3-4 full bodies on each arm. By using the 6-Slot Bags, you can transport more decoys per trip plus you can keep your decoys free of mud and dirt.

I'm just wondering that since the heads are hanging out the top of the bag how are they supposed to be protected. I love the idea of the bags but if i'm going to spend money on them I want the heads protected ecspecially when the flocking is most apt to rub off and get dirty. couldn't you make them a little bigger and with a padded lid like the duck bags. it seems to me that usally if avery spends time to make something they do it right so I'm suprised the lack of head protection was overlooked. I also was wondering if the full body mallards would fit with their motion bases in the 12 slot duck decoy bag wit lid.

I also use the 6 slot and I also put black socks on there heads to protect the flocking,,sounds funny but I swear it works,before I used socks they got thrashed but since, I have not reflocked one yet (knock on wood).Just make sure there black,white leaves alot of lint..

I put socks on my flocked bigfoot heads. Just picked up a dozen GHG fullbodies(lookers and feeders) and plan to get a couple 6 slot fullbody bags. Does anybody know if bigfoots ,with their feet on, will fit in these Also just bought an X-Landr' to carry the silos in. Hopefully we will not have to make more than one trip.

Black sox or panty hose will provide protection for your flocked heads. I have not used black sox or panty hose for my heads. Before my trailer and rack storage, Avery 6-Slot Bags provide protection for my full bodies. After the purchase of my trailer, I still use utilize 6-Slot Bags for storage and protestion for my motion full bodies. I do not stack 6-slot bags on top of each other. When I load my bags, I make certain that the heads are turned inward. I do not want the heads hanging out side the bag. This is when they will have a tendency to get scared or dirty. I have had flocked heads on my GHG Full Bodies since January 2004. Up until January 2005, I transported my decoys in the back of my pick up truck.

I like them for the simple fact that you can carry a 6-slot bag on each side of your body. Carrying 12 geese instead of the normal 3-4 makes setting up decoys a lot easier. We have one guy put all the 6-slots with decoys in them in the general shape he is looking for. From there, all you have to do is go from bag to bag and set them out. It works pretty slick.

Putting a top on them is something we talked about. We wanted to keep the price down so we left them off. There is a lot of material in these bags. I used mine last year and just stacked the bags on top of each other. I never had anything happen to the heads.
