Mike,

We are in the process of updating both the Avery and Greehead Gear websites. We only sell decoys through our dealers across the country and there are no plans in the near future to sell decoys direct.

Guys,

I certainly don't aim to be a stick in the mud but has there been a projected completion date for either of the two sites? I'm dyin' of suspense...Thanks.

Sorry for the redundance.

The folks in Memphis have been bustin' their butts on this site update project. I know when they finish it will be worth the wait.

We always hear "it is going to be worth the wait" when you are always late with stuff. It was going to be 2 weeks more and that was a month ago. Sorry if I sound like an *** hole, but if I was going to say stuff from now on I wouldn't say in 2 weeks if you aren't 75% sure. I would at least say a month or something else. Again sorry if I sound like I'm being an *** hole and I apologize to those that think that I am. I hate waiting too

I'm going to apologize to everybody for saying what I said. Just read about the being late stuff and put 2 and 2 together

No need to apologize for the truth. When a company says it's going to do something and then doesn't the customer percieves that as being LIED TO. It is also marketing. When suspense is built up the word gets out and more people find out about a product. The only problem with that strategy is that Avery will lose customers due to their feeling LIED TO and in business practice 1 customer with a bad experience will tell 10 people while 10 good customers will tell 1 person. The one good thing about Avery is when they work on something they do it to the max. I can almost gaurantee the new website will be taken to a whole new level just like most everything else Avery does. Be patient and look for good things to come.

I have seen plenty of complaints throughout other message boards over the outdated web site. Probably has contributed to lost business especially in the full body decoy market.

Clayton,

I surely hope that the lack of a current website wouldn't mandate an economical valley for the guys at Avery. While I realize that yes, having a current up-to-date interactive website may enhance the consumer experience that ultimately, it's not a store. I've read (even as a new member) why the guys upstairs don't want to sell straight to us and that's OK by me. I think we need to bare in mind that come September first, it's the DECOYS we have to have and not the home page. Also, I think that if you have any questions regarding the products that are currently not available on the website that ANY of the members of this forum would be way more than obliged to answer it for you. I'm waiting on the new sites as well my friend, but I'm not hunting websites in less than a month, I'm huntin' these resident brutes that can't stand it when I call 'em into the water spread...don't let 'em get too close!

I don't mean to be argumentative Clayton, I just think that it's a shame that a hunter suggest a loss of revenue from a hunting company (and a top notch company at that) because of a website that's behind schedule. I'd be a lot more concerned about problems with an actual decoy and not a URL...

hope I didn't ruffle any feathers,

Scary
