How, if ---do you attach Fastgrass or other vegetation to the blind?? Do you leave it in place when you lower the blind for travelling?
Thanks, Q.S. |

This is what I do. I simply drop that baby down when picking up the decoys and when I get to the boat launch I strap the material so it won't get wrecked. It is really easy to drop, just 4 pins to remove and down she comes. As far as vegitation, I have yet to have to use ANY vegitation. I have had it set up in basically no cover other than the bare minimum and still had Mallard and Geese drop right in. For Divers, they are a must. Mine has the Advantage camo and I mostly hunt Bull Rushes, Cattails and Shorelines. In my opinion the Quickset is still one of the best products that Avery has Made.

Please look for a new product by Avery to be out this summer as far as concealment goes. It will compliment your boat blinds very well. Looks real, does not tear, does not rot. You guys will be very impressed.

Quack Smacker,
Both Brett and Chad are right on the money, but I'll add some thoughts on installing RealGrass to your Quick-Set. My first suggestion is leave your Camonet and Windblocker installed. There is a product available at many home improvement stores that I have heard called snow fencing and landscape fencing. It is a plastic mesh fencing material. After purchasing the fencing, cut it to the appropriate length and attach your RealGrass with zip-ties. The lengths of grass can now be rolled up and transported in the back of your truck, then rolled out for drying later. When you reach the boat launch, raise your Quick-Set and close the flip-tops. Now use stainless steel shower curtain hooks to attach your grass to the main frame rail of the blind. (note: do not attach to the flip-top, let the camonet serve for overhead camo). Now, open the flip-tops, push the grass into the boat, and drop the blind frame down for launch and travel. When you are finished hunting just reverse the procedure, and you will get years of service from the product. Just store the RealGrass and Camonet out of direct sunlight. Bill Cooksey
