I have been thinking of buying a neo tub for next season. Any one out there own or use one of these this last season? How did it work? Any complaints or suggestions? Did it work better with the finisher or migrator or is it about the same? Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't believe that no one on these boards has ever used a neo tub.
Since no one has ever used one Tom I volunteer to be the first. Send me one right away and by the end of the upcoming season I will write a full review. That way when someone else has a question I will have answers. Seriously if anyone has any feed back at all I would love to hear it. Thanks. |

Goose Hunter,
I had hoped that some folks who weren't connected with Avery would chime in, but I guess I'll get the ball rolling. I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to test the NeoTub. I've used it in slash water in corn, soy bean and rice fields, and love it. I've always hated coffin style blinds (yes, I know a lot of guys love 'em). I hate them to the point that I would much rather get wet than use one. The NeoTub combines all the advantages of a coffin blind with the comfort and concealment of a layout blind. If you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to answer them. I've only used them on a Finisher, so I can't really help with a comparison. I would suggest buying the blind that will work best for most of your situations, and using the NeoTub on that blind. Bill Cooksey

Thank you Bill. Don't worry about not answering because you are associated with Avery. I respect everyones thoughts and opinions and take it all into consideration. That being said I know that you are a hardcore hunter and will give me an honest opinion. So thank you.
One of my concerns was with the tub not fitting tight and being sloppy in the water. Did you experience that at all with the finisher? I thought that maybe because the migrator had a full frame on the bottom the tub would fit tighter and possibly work a little better. Any thoughts on this? What is the maximum depth you would recommend in using this? Have you had any problems with the blind wanting to float or move in the water? Thanks again Bill. Anyone else with experience please feel free to answer also. I just want honest opinions. Thanks! |

I used one on a Finisher Blind last year. You want to talk about comfortable. My feet floated in front of me like I was in a Lazy Boy recliner. The blind will float without you in it. I would not recommend using it in water more that 8 inches. The hardness of the bottom will also influence this number. This year, I will probably move to the Migrator blind. I think it will be easier to get in and out of in the water.
