Hi guys, We mounted the quickset blind on the boat last night and put it to the test early this morning. I am glad to say that it worked like a charm. The first two mallards came in so close that one hit the side of the boat after it was shot
. We went on to take several mallards, woodies and a gadwall. The mossy oak camo is great for these Alabama swamps and blends in perfect with the spanish moss. I am thrilled.I do have some suggestions for the assembly instructions if you could post an email to send them too. Also, we are shooting out of an old bass tracker 3 bass boat with a long shafted mud buddy mud motor and found that the quickset motor attachment was not needed for our setup. Thanks guys! |

DucknHer,
I saw that you hunted in Alabama this morning and wanted to know what area of the state you are hunting. I don't want to know your honey hole just wanted to know where and how you have been doing this year. Thanks, Mark |

Hi mark, I hunt in central alabama on a private swamp which is about a half mile from the alabama river. The area is between montgomery and autaugaville. This morning was the first time I have been able to hunt my spot and we did quite well. I went opening morning on a spot not far from there and we shot only a couple of woodies. Based on what I have heard, people are just doing fair here so I was really thrilled with this mornings hunt. We actually killed most everything we saw, so we were not covered with ducks. I see you are from Birmingham, how have you done so far?

I have not hunted in Alabama this year but I still enjoy hearing about people having good hunts in Alabama. I hunt in Arkansas on a couple of leases that I have with my brother and dad. I grew up in Gadsden and hunted all over northeast Alabama. |
