hI guys...I have e-mailed Tom Matthews here on the m/b and I have talked personally with"Bill". They were both very helpful and i cant wait to get my new blind. I do have one bit of advice from my experience, in dealing with the company i actually purchased my blind from , they did not have any of knowledge about the extra supports i needed for my V hull. I was told they dont carry anything like that. Of course i knew it was needed from my friends here. How could we solve that problem. I realize most people are just "working the phones". Possibbly some updated "fact" sheets from Avery sent to all the dealers ? Maybe just better training by the dealers themselves ? Periodic accessories updates ? I have nothing but good things to say about "Avery" and the way they do bussines. How do we get the dealers to act the same way ?
Sorry for Ramblin
Ed

Ed,
We are working on some similar ideas right now. I really appreciate your thoughts, and invite everyone out there to offer input on our becoming an easier company to work with. Jason Thompson's work on this website is already showing a ton of positive results.

Avery has some great dealers out there, and the folks you ordered your blind from are some of the finest in the country to work with. It is our hope that by making information easy to find on our site both our customers and our deaers will be able to bypass the type of hiccups that you experienced.

Thanks again for the input, and enjoy your blind. Send us a photo of it in your favorite spot.

Bill

Bill, I ordered a blind from Cabellas on Oct 11th and was hoping to recieve and install on my boat by opending day (Nov 9th). The people at Cabellas will not provide the purchase order number so your people can look up the order and tell me when it will ship. Is this standard procedure, it does not seem very customer freindly.

Duck Slayer,

I've had to do a bit of research on this one. Evidently, there is a new privacy policy at Cabela's. My understanding is that this is for customers benefit, but obviously in this case it causes things to be a little more difficult. Please call Jessy at 800-333-5119, and give her the size of your blind and the camo pattern, and she can sort through all of the orders to give you an approzimate ship date.

Please uderstand that Cabela's has this policy to benefit their customers. Hopefully, in the future we can find a system that will allow us all to work within this policy expediently.

Bill

Bill,

I did in fact receive on November 7th, however, I was not aware that I would need the boat brackets. I explained to the sales person at Cabella's that I had a Go Devil motor and no rear bench seats and was told I would get everthing I need to mount the blind. On Friday, I called your company and I think talked to Jessica, she told me to call Cabella's and order the bracket and she would have them sent out that day overnight air. Today is Tuesday the 12th and the repensentative at Cabellas just told me the order was sent out today via regular delivery. So, I will again not be able to use my new blind for the second weekend in a row. This has been a horrible experience!!!!!!

duck slayer,
I'm glad this is working out, and apologize for all of the problems. Until I saw your second post, I was about to give a long answer on how to use the blind as is. If for some reason your Go-Devil assembly does not arrive in time call me at 800-333-5119, and I'll help you get out hunting until it does.
