Question

I finally received my Finisher Blind and I can't wait to use it during the upcoming late goose season (12/7) here in MN. I noticed on the box that it came in, there is a picture of the blind covered in wheat stubble, and around the blind is some canadian goose shells. Who manufactures the decoys and how can I buy some? They look good! They don't appear to be G&H, Higdon, or Carry-lite. Are they the one's in Bass Pro? Thanks for your help.

Joe

The duck decoys and Goose shells you see in Bass Pro and Macks are made by Avery! Total Realism!

Question

Does the paint hold up on them? I saw some posts on Waterfowler.com that suggest maybe it doesn't.

Some of the initial decoys that were sent out were actually paint samples. Just as with any new product, when customers got wind of it the demand really went up so Avery decided to release some of these paint samples. Initially it was going to only be a limited supply released, but that changed quickly.

To answer your question - yes, the decoys that are coming in now do not have the paint problems that the initial decoys had. Every day we are improving manufacturing & you should see some of the samples that have come in here over the last few weeks. Wow!!!

Just imagine a decoy that actually looks like a duck!!

Todd, Thanks for responding to my last e-mail. I would like to know where and when I can buy some shells and floaters knowing I won't have to worry about paint peeling off? Thanks

Just about all of the goose decoys that we are getting in now do not seem to be having the paint problems. The goose shells & floaters seem to be holding up very well. We have not gotten any reports that I am aware of the paint coming off these last few shipments.

That is not to say that there might not still be some out there, but we have just not been hearing about them in here. Hopefully we are over the paint issues now & can ship decoys during 2003 that everyone will really be pleased with. Thanks.
