I just read your recent article in Wildfowl. Awesome! The only complaint I have is it almost got me too excited to get back to Canada. Esspecially since I have to wait until after college.

Thanks Decoyer! I appreciate the compliment. My home province of Saskatchewan has so many opportunities that it's hard to head elsewhere. Good luck in college!

Mike

I am proud to say that I hunted with Mike Hungle on his first "assignment" with guys from the US. Was that four years ago already? Anyway, up 'til then he was "the guy" in Saskatchewan, but now he's showing up all over the place. It's nice to see real hunters that also write getting their stuff out into the major markets because it adds legitimacy to the whole hunting thing.

I have hunted with probably 50-60 "outdoor writers" over the past nine years, some great guys and others not so great. All in all, these guys are a good bunch but many of them make no bones about the fact that they would rather be somewhere else doing ANYTHING else - when it's your job, it's never as fun as when it's your hobby. Hungle loves it as much as anybody I have ever hunted with. He reminds me of my 7-year old son when the ducks get in close, and that's the way it is supposed to be.

I guess I just wanted to weigh in my two cents on Mike's well-deserved success as a writer because he loves to hunt, knows how to hunt and defends hunting like nobody else. We need a few more just like him.

Thanks Mike.
