Default Gander Mountain

I am pleased to hear that the Forest Lake Gander is going to carry GHG decoys this year!!!! The only bummer to it is that they come in on Sept. 1, and our early goose season starts on the 2nd! Looks like i will be getting ready over night with all of the new stuff i need to buy! Thanks for sending your products to my neck of the woods!!

That's good to hear, MNBoy!

Make sure you post up some picture of your early goose season success with your GHG decoys! It looks like it is going to be a good one in Minnesota! I can't wait.

Our Gander Mountian is carrying Higdon of all things

At least they said they will have ducks there from GHG.

I thought Gander Mountain wasn't going to sell any avery or greenhaed gear products anymore. The lakeville store got rid of everything they had.

Here is the positive side to your local hunting stores not carrying GHG decoys. Your neighbor and the entire county will not be able to duplicate your spread. You'll have the exclusive set-up that will draw the birds. I've honestly seen the geese look at other decoys and flare around them to get to the FFD's. It’s cool when you give a few clucks and the birds glide in and you hammer’em. Your neighbor will be wondering what went wrong with their rig...

I heard that the Gander Mountain store in Virginia is going to carry Avery products again. Last year they carried FA dekes. I was told that they will be liquidating the FA. Nothing against FA, but Avery is a tough act to follow.

Guys,

Gander only bought the GHG full body Canada geese with the Foot Bases for goose decoys. Basically, they are the 2005 Hunters Series.

They did however buy a big selection of duck decoys. The most exciting one I think is what we are calling the Puddler Pack. It has a life-size drake and a hen of the following species - Wigeon, Gadwall, and Pintail. I am interested to here your feedback on this subject.

Thanks,

will this be available at all gander mountain stores. I would be very interested in a puddler pack it would be a great way to finish out filling the holes in my spread with some other species.

Rick,
Thanks for the heads up. It looks like I will be shopping at Gander Mountain more often this year.
