Default Shooting some geese!

Went with fellow member Zach White on Monday morning in some corn and 5 of us ended up with 14 honkers. We hunted over about 10 dz. GHG fullbodies 2-3 dz. other fullbodies. Went out this morning and 3 of us ended up shooting 9 snows over 13 dz. GHG snow fullbodies. The snows came in in one big bunch so we were pretty much screwed. They made one pass and hovered at about 15-20 yds. off the blind. I'm totally set on trying to get at least a couple dozen of the snows and work my way up over the next couple of years. Its been a really good year for us so far!

Nice work on the geese. What type of fields are you guys hunting in? What type of calls are you using? Any bands? Any neck collars? Again, great work and please keep us updated on the rest of your season.

Good Hunting!

We have been hunting all corn fields so far. Supposed to be in the 30's by Wednesday so hopefully we will get some more geese. We have only shot 1 leg band on a mallard. I'm hopefully heading out to hunt with Zach on Sunday out where he lives. I use a Buck Gardner Acrylic Canada Hammer and really like the sounds my snow goose call from Buck makes for Canadas. I'm hopefully going to get my hands on a Zink Littleman before long. Good luck to everybody.
