Default Redheads new look-alikes... Bad form or legit?

Just noticed Redheads new line of decoys... They look awfully similar to me.

Is Avery behind that or are they just hackin' a good design?

I read their claims of a multi-process "Baked on" paint scheme...

If this is an imitation, I'd say that it warrants caliin' 'em out. Didn't they do this before with their XPS line or somethin'?

I don't mean to stir the pot but it looks like they could just go do something on their own?

I have the GHG Ringnecks, and I hunted last week with a buddy who has a mixed spread of GHG and Bass Pro ringers. To me the BP ones looked blue on the sides vs. the white and gray of the GHG. I like the GHG paint better; don't know if it matters to the birds or not.

We are not behind it. You are a smart enough man to draw your own conclusion from there Scary. There will always be innovators and then there will immitators.

if you look at the bottom of the dekes from Bass pro, you can see where the clay was wrapped around a ghg to make the molds. that is why the bottoms aren't crisp around the edges, but wavy.

beyond decoys you'll also notice that many of BPS's accessories are very similar in design to Avery manufactured/developed products.

I totally thought so too...

I hate that...

I can understand a new design of decoy being introduced for the sake of options in the world of duck hunting but to completely rip off another company is (in a word) BUNK!

I try to keep up with stuff like this so I know exactly where to go to get my gear... Rest assured there won't be any of those in my spread.

Bad bad form on the part of Redhead... That's a real shame.
