Default Only In Kansas

Can it be 71, sunny, and very windy one day and 25 the next day with thunderstorms in the morning, freezing rain in the afternoon, and snow tomorrow night.. The local NWS says that we could see up to a 1/4 in. thick ice tomorrow, which will make my fire dept. very busy tomorrow. On the otherhand I'm sure it will push in some new geese and ducks!

Hopefully some birds will move down to KS. We had 1/4 inch of ice the other day and the high for Wed is 12....

Keep your eyes open for birds.

The geese are flying as we speak...we heard honks flying south with the north winds when catfishing tonight!

We are lookin forward to the last push of Geese down the "late season" flyways. Should be a TON of birds pushing into the Kansas area.

They have been stacking up on the Platte since Sunday morning. I'd almost say more snows then canadas. Zero ducks though. All the ducks we had up to Saturday afternoon are now gone.

There are a good number of resident birds starting to hit the fields in SE KS and NE OK. I saw about 200 Canadas in a field last night about a 1/2 mile from the house and 150 Mallards and 50 honkers on the pond behind my place. This week and w/e should be awesome!!!

We have the same thing going on here in Nevada. It went from 68 degrees and sunny to a low of 10 degrees last night and ice. We have new birds moving in from Idaho but a lot of our old birds are on their way out. It will make for some awesome hunting for sure. We are headed out tomorrow to try and shoot a mallard hole. They should be there.

Good Hunting!

Just got back from from my morning hunt ... and yes, this is a major push! Saw probably between 30-40 good sized groups of geese way high ... didnt see as many migrating ducks, but still 5-6 big groups.
I also think that the ducks I hunted this morning are old ducks ducks, as they circled and circled and never would quite commit all the way. I tried changing spreads ... took out the robos ... and still struggled to kill my limit. Im hoping the ducks are right behind the geese, as I will be back out tommorow morning!!
