Head/body Joint Question

Hey all. I am having a problem with most of my canada decoys. When I am joinging the heads to the bodies I am getting this seperation in the joint. No problems on the Snows. I am wondering what you guys are doing that I am not? Or is this something that I do not need to worry about. I am not to concerned right now but later on in the season I am going to be a little worried on finishing birds. Let me knwo what to do. Thansk all. Dan

How much of a space is their?

Is this on the lessers or the big decoys ? The lessers sometimes have alot of extra flocking on the bottom of the head you have to scrape off. The big decoys are normaly never a problem but some times I have had to push realy hard when turning to get the head to roll all the way over the part it twist on to.

these are on the big decoys. look at the Canada Looker in the pic. Is this something I even need to worry about? these are the 05 models that were purchased towards the end of the season and were not hunted til now. Let me knwo what you guys think. thanks all

All you have to do it make sure the treads are super clean on the seams on the body. If there looks to be excess plastic (especially towards the base), all you have to do is trim it out. Also, look at the base of the head. There may be some plastic build up on the notches. If so, again just give it a little trim off and the heads will go right on.

This is one of the reasons we switched the head connection this year.

I have this problem with a few of my hunter series and it has no ill effect on finishing geese. The new head attachment is a great improvement and I have had no problems with them except for a falling honker break one!
