Although not slated for a true "Waterfowl Weekend", the Pittsburgh Sportsman's Warehouse store is putting together a Waterfowl Expo. There will be seminars, company reps, and a calling contest. The dates are August 18th and 19th, so mark your calendar!
Duck and Goose Meat Style Calling Contest Open to ALL Callers. Contest Starts at 12:30 on Sunday August 19th at the Pittsburgh Sportsman's Warehouse Store. $20.00 to enter each contest with award plaques & a 50 %, 20%, 10% payout to the top 3 finishers. Remaining 20% will be donated to the PA Waterfowl Heritage Society, and will end up in the hands of the Pymatuning Refuge for duck production and habitat restoration. Plaques are sponsored by Sportsman's Warehouse Pittsburgh. For questions or to pre-register call David Rearick 724-496-2631 or send to PO Box 176 Bruin PA 16022. What does meat goose calling mean? Is it 60 seconds rather than 90?

The duck calling contest it 60 seconds in length, the goose is 90 seconds. While the calling contests are both meat style, the only real difference is in the duck routines.
