which would you choose? and why i am looking into buying a blind and was wondering which do you prefer?

As far as I am concerned, it comes down to what you value more, comfort or having a front row seat to the best show on Earth. In most all of the fields I hunt both blinds will dissapear, though the power hunter has a lower profile and is generally more easy to hide.

With the right amount of brushing visibility is not a problem, and the major difference between them is the levels of comfort that they offer. One factor that I find is minimal when it comes to making a choice is portability. Both of these blinds fold to basically the same size and comfort, and the 6 lb weight difference with the Power Hunter is of no concern, I would gladly pack both of them equally far.

Getting in and out of a Ground Force is quick and easy, and the fabric of the blind moves very little which ensure that the grass does not fall off of the blind. Another plus is the room inside of the blind which you can use to store shells and other necessary accesories in a place where it is easily and comforably accessible, as well as the extra room for movement that you are provided by the full frame. However, if your head remains inside the blinds where it is most camoflauged, incoming flights can be hard to view at some points, especially if they are circling. Once the birds are where you want them, shooting is generally faster from the Ground Force, although I do find that it is more restrictive when it comes to shooting from awkward angles.

The major plus with a Power Hunter is the visibility. With the lid like it is, you can watch the birds regardless of where they are, which allows for a more enjoyable hunt. The major disadvantage about the Power Hunter is getting in and out of the blind to retrieve downed birds. I find that after multiple retrieves the stubble that was placed in the stubbles straps begins to loosed and fall out exposing the blind. It takes longer to get in and out, and is a little less comfortable than the Ground Force when you are laying in it as the bag falls on your body. Though this does allow for the lowest possible profile, any movement you make moves the blind as well. When it comes time to shoot it takes longer to shoulder the gun as you must raise the lid with one hand before raising the gun, but there is no frame to restrict your movements.

To be entirely honest I don't know which I prefer, I know that for someone that I was trying to introduce to the sport I would use a Ground Force, but with my love of watching the birds spiral on in I think that on a good, hard decoying hunt I would prefer the Power Hunter.

Both are great blinds and either will give you the front row seat Aaron was talking about. It is all going to come down to what you are looking for in a blind. If you are looking for a versatile blind that will work in any situation from dry fields to the use of a NeoTub, the ground force is your blind. You can't use a NeoTub with the Power Hunter, because it has no interior frame.

If thats the case, I would use a ground force or finisher. They will hide you from the elements and protect you and your gear more than a power hunter will.

Don't forget neo-tubs aren't available for P-Hunters... It can be a stealthy little ordeal to be IN the water.

A full frame all the way, you will regret a power hunter when the rain and snow start, not that it has happened the past few years

They are both awesome blinds but I favor the PowerHunter.

For 95% of the hunting I do the Power Hunter is my go-to blind! I do have a Finisher w/ Neotub for the instances that I am in skinny water.
