2007 Waterfowler’s Boot Camp Event Schedule

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

8:00 AM: Gates officially open.


8:30 AM:

Location: Dog Demonstration Area
Event: Basic retrieving and preparation for a great season, Part “A” with Bill Davis, Dominick Ritter, Paul Cupka & Jeff Coats.


9:00 AM: Vendor’s Row Opens


9:30 AM:

Location: Seminar Tent “A”
Event: Build a call youth duck calling clinic with Buck Gardner.

Location: Seminar Tent “B”
Event: Goose Calling Techniques with Fred Zink, Field Hudnall, and Shawn Stahl.

Location: Seminar Tent “C”
Event: Ladies introduction to Duck Calling with Chris Wright.




10:30 AM:

Location: Main Trap Line-west of Central Entry Building
Event: 1st Session youth/new shooters gun safety and shooting clinic with Ron Rogers-Division of Wildlife.

Location: Seminar Tent “A”
Event: Duck Calling Techniques Seminar with Jim Ronquest and Buck Gardner.


11:30 AM:

Location: Seminar Tent “A”
Event: Goose Hunting Techniques with Fred Zink, Field Hudnall and Shawn Stahl.


12:30 PM:

Location: Seminar Tent “A”
Event: Duck Hunting Techniques with Buck Gardner & Jim Ronquest.


1:30 PM:

Location: Pond at Reception Hall

Event: Beginning wildlife photography with Jeff Coats


4:00 PM:

Location: Seminar Tent “A”
Event: Ohio State Resident Duck Calling Contest

5:00 PM:

Location: Seminar Tent “A”
Event: Ohio State Duck Calling Contest Awards Ceremony and 1st day closing ceremonies


6:00 PM:

Location: Reception Hall
Event: Big Island DUX Cookout & Raffles

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

After seeing the schedule of events and the guys that are going to be there, it makes me wish that I could be involved in the weekend. That is going to be a good time as well as very educational the people in attendance.

I live in the area and there are more options than you might think if you don't mind driving 30 minutes. Two exits to the north there are a few hotels at the Rt. 97 exit (30 minutes away) and you have the RT. 36 exit to the south (which is the next exit) that has at least one hotel and Columbus is only 30 minutes away to the south as well. On top of that, there are several camping locations available in the area.
