We finally killed a bunch of Ducks around Marion this weekend. Five of us limited Saturday and Sunday afternoon. We had the only open hole around everything else was frozen. It was awesome we had 500-700 Ducks working at a time on several occasions. We had a 9 year old boy with us on his first Duck hunt. He was truly amazed with Duck Hunting. After we killed our limits we sat in the pit and let Ducks light on us and at 1 time we had around 700 birds on the water and ice the closest ones were about 5 yards. To end the day on a good note on of the guys with us shot a double banded mallard drake with a 100 dollar reward band.

congrats to your friend on the double band. that is truly a trophy bird. Looks like for the third year in a row, the birds have stayed in this part of the nation. The future of duckhunting in the south does not look good.
