I have just recently moved to Western KY. I am living in the Cadiz, KY area. I was wondering if any one know's if the duck and goose hunting is any good in the area. I know it is close to Lake Barkley. But I did not knwo if any has hunted in the area

I went to Collage at Western Kentucky University and made my way to Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkely on a couple occasions. The duck hunting can be good when the weather is right. I have never seen any goose populations that amounted to much. Barkley is definetly known for divers. Barren River Resivoir used to be good for ducks and geese when all the smaller water would freeze. If I were you I would check out Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.

The places you and Field mentioned are definately good duck places. One of the good things about where you are located is that you aren't far from Ballard Co. Refuge, Henderson, and Southern Ill. These are all good goose places when the weather gets right.
