Just wanted to share some pics of my huntin partners new duck boat. It is called Fowl Habit. This is a Ronies Mud Boat that was custom outfitted by my partner Redheadcali from Waterfowldecals.com, it has a Chevy 350 in it with a hurst tranny and a prop outdrive. It is truly an awesome machine with top speeds achievable 70mph with the right prop. It was pushing 55 plus on the break in trip. It holds 35 gallons of fuel and all the gear you could ever imagine of carrying to your favorite duck hole

Hope it's bullet-proof ! First time I saw something like that pushin' 70mph thru the area of the lake/marsh I hunt, I'd have to think twice about peppering it. But I'd surely be callin' the Wildlife Management Officers attention to it. Is waterfowling becoming like bass fishing ? What happened to the tradition of getting up early, slowly motoring, poling or rowing out to a blind, and enjoying the day? Does that boat come with a espresso machine built in too?

Well let me tell you this, we shoot back out here in the Wild Wild West

First off you need to understand that this boat is only to haul 2 small boats ie. Fatboy and Poke and of course all our gear. It will also be used to haul a huge honker spread out to the favorite sandbar. Another thing you need to understand is that this boat will only be used to navigate the Colorado River and not some small lake or puddle.

You could call whomever you wish. This boat is perfectly legal and registered.

When you have to travel 30+ miles on the water in the dark to get to your hunting grounds, this will be extremely handy and safe to boot.

There is no espresso machine but it will always have HOT COFFEE and anything else we need to make our trip an enjoyable one. You need to remember that it is a FREE country, at least the last time I looked it was. And just because someone else chooses to use something that you may not, doesn't make it a bad thing.

WW,

Didn't mean to start a Urinary Olypiad!

Was you say is all true. Is suspect thow that there are others out there that would/will respond as I initially did. Having said that, laying out the context in which the boat is used and where it's used in advance, would have been a wise move.

BTW, I have lived and hunted out West - CO and WA both. Hunted off the Colorado as well on the front range and eastern plains. Hunted the Columbia up to the Chief Joseph damn in WA as well as the Pot Holes. In other words, I have an idea of the travel required.

No problema,

I thought that the pics and Yuma , Az. ( Colorado River ) at the bottom of each one of my posts would have been an indicator.
