I’ve ordered a lot of waterfowl hunting merchandise from Mack’s Prairie Wings, Cabela's and Trader Outdoors at different periods of time this year. Most of my purchases were Avery products. One item I ordered is on back order; it is the “Avery Fleece Yukon Hood”. I made my order on or around September 17th. Each time I call MPW they have a different delivery date. The guy I talked to tonight at MPW now expects delivery on November 24th. He also indicated to me that Cabela’s has or is going to drop all Avery merchandise, this persons tenor was as such that Avery is unreliable with there delivery. It is supposed to get near 18°F here in Illinois this week. I was sure hoping I would have all my orders filled before the Artic blast hits the Illinois flatlands!!

Who did you talk to about this? We need a name to make sure and get this worked out. You are making some pretty big accusations about one of our biggest customers. PM me with a name.

Thanks,

Anytime something like this "happens", get a name. This is so far from the truth that it borders slander. As for the Yukon Hoods, I know my dealers had all of their pre-books on Yukon Hoods filled. Have you tried Southside in Peoria, or Discount Sales in Havana, or Gamemasters in Quincy, or S&R Marine in Beardstown, or Foiles in Pittsfield yet? Each of these stores is on the dealer locator if you need numbers, and many of them may have Yukon hoods.

Bill,

I will get some answers about this first thing Monday morning. This is absolutely ridiculous! Please PM me the name of the person you talked to. If you did not get a name, please give me the date and time of day you called and if in fact it was a male you spoke with.

GooseFlocker and The Avery Staff,
I want to apologize for the remark made by one of our call representatives. This employee has no knowledge of anything any spoke about with the exception of the dates that he mentioned on the due dates of the hood you ordered.
GooseFlocker if you remember the representative's name I would appreciate a PM so that I can deal with him accordingly. I looked at your order and he was correct in the dates that he gave you. The reason the dates change when you call in is because we update them daily. We are in contact with someone at Avery daily. Again I apologize for the remarks.
Cheryl

I want to appologize to Avery for what this repesentative has has said. The fact that Cabela's is going to drop Avery products could'nt be further from the truth. Manufactures and dealers often have hick-ups in ordering and delivering. As you all know Avery is always on the cutting edge of providing the most inovative waterfowl products avilable and has been one of the best vendors I have ever worked with. This issue will get resolved.

Chuck and Cheryl,

As I've said before in previous posts, we truly appreciate Mack's continued support. Everyone at Avery knows how you feel and also knows the random remarks of an operator in no way reflect your feelings. Thanks for your participation in this forum and your dedication.

Sorry I have not responded sooner. I’ve either been hunting or working and did not have time to see where this post had gone. For everyone who has responded; I have talked to Cheryl at Mack’s. She is aware of who the call representative is and apologized for the remarks made by this person.

Cheryl did say that in no way has Cabela’s dropped Avery, and is shocked that this call representative would imply this. And, if this person was privy to these presumed facts that the rest of MPW would or should be made aware of the information.

I would also like everyone to know that I gave the MPW call representative many chances to back off, (on his statement). I let the call representative know this could be posted on the Avery message board. He seemed absolutely certain of his information, and then gave his name.
