Question

We just installed dog boxes on some of our pits but we also hunt two standup blinds. I think your new dog blinds would be perfect for letting my dog sit outside of the blind. My question is would it be a problem if your dog blind sat in a little water throughout the hunt and then we allowed it to dry out afterward? Thanks for making some great new products.

Thanks for the enthusiasm about the new Avery product lines! We too are excited about what we have to offer and just can't wait to get to Arkansas for the upcoming season!

As for your question regarding the dog blind, I would like to wait a couple of days to give you a solid answer, because we have some Avery Pro-Staffers currently using the latest model of this product in the field. So check for your answer here in a couple of days after we get a chance to speak to the guys about how the latest and greatest version of the product handles sitting in standing water for the duration of the hunt.

Thanks again for the enthusiasm and continue to join us here as we get ready for the upcoming season!

Hey Tom,

Thanks for your note and response. The water is only about 1" deep so I was mainly worried about the material rotting or something if it sat in water. Thanks again for your help and for a great product line.

Your enthusiasm can be contagious!

As for your dog blind. It seems that you should be okay in terms of the fabric being able to hold up in the conditions you have described; however, when storing the blind, make sure that it has dried completely before breaking it down. Storing it wet in freezing weather may not be the best thing for the fabric.

In addition to the durability of the fabric, another consideration you may want to address is whether or not you feel the blind could be carried away by any prevailing current in your set-up. Make sure that it is anchored appropriately for you hunting conditions.

Thanks again for your interest and good hunting to you in the coming season!
